We are searching for a talented, motivated, and experienced Business Development Specialist who can drive business forward in the Heckford Group. We have now been established for over 45 years, specialising in advertising, design & print, digital, fabrication, exhibitions, illustration, signage, 3D & CGI. If you are looking to be part of a talented and growing team this is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the right individual.

We work in a multi-disciplined environment, so we need somebody who can focus on growing the business and extending the reach across our varied services offerings. You will be encouraged to be creative and pro-active in the building of successful and long-term client relationships.

We need somebody experienced who can hit the ground running and develop strategies to make a positive difference to the business early on. You will be based at our Preston Head Office, but with opportunities for hybrid working subject to business needs.

You will benefit from 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays) rising to 25 days after one year service. There is free on-site parking with free tea and coffee on offer too. For the right candidate we will offer an excellent basic salary and commission. We also offer Childcare vouchers and a contributory pension scheme.

Responsibilities
  • Pro-active in identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services
  • You will identify opportunities for growth by understanding your customers and connecting them with powerful marketing and sales solutions that can accelerate their business.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients
  • Pitching sales and products to new and existing clients
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends
  • Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s products, the competition in the industry and positioning
  • Managing and training a business development team
  • Collaborating with design and sales teams to ensure that the requirements are met
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5 years experience in the business development field
  • Strong negotiator and excellent communicator with experience of working with and analysing data in order to identify opportunities for growth
  • Ability to demonstrate your extensive knowledge of business development
  • Proven track record in a sales environment
  • Proven track record of developing strong client relationships
  • Sales and marketing knowledge across all digital and traditional channels
  • Ability to manage and lead a team to ensure all projects are completed with efficiency and on budget
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • A good grounding in digital products and services
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Experience in presenting work and document writing

  • A full clean UK driving licence
