Heckford Gallops Ahead with Grand National Signage

Clock 18th June 2024 by Sarah Clarke

The Grand National is one of the most iconic and prestigious horse racing events globally, held annually in Aintree, Liverpool. With a history dating back to 1839, the Grand National captivates audiences worldwide, attracting millions of viewers and spectators. Heckford were thrilled to be tasked with producing all the necessary signage around the racecourse for the three-day event, for another year.

After the 2023 launch of the dynamic new brand for The Jockey Club, Heckford were asked to produce a full suite of signage solutions including stencil cut vinyl, projecting signs, internal and external signage, acrylic displays, branded fascia and bespoke lightboxes.

With sustainability in mind, as much of last year’s signage was reused where possible – only replacing damaged and non-salvageable products. Our design team and production unit made sure all new artwork and signage adhered to the brand guidelines and was produced to the highest quality, before being installed at Aintree. Our team were on site daily making sure everything was in place as it should be, and, when the event was finished, removed it with a view to preserving as much as possible for next year’s event.

As well as work for the Grand National weekend, Heckford have also produced a captivating, bespoke acrylic display for the reception area at Aintree. You can read about that project here.
