Front End Developer

Dependent upon experience

Due to expansion and new client wins, Heckford have a job opening for an experienced front-end developer (web designer) in the digital team at our Preston office.

The role would suit someone who’s well into their career in Digital, with a number of years’ commercial experience (3+)

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the design studio, to take approved Photoshop concepts to a final product as responsive HTML
  • Making recommendations and adding value on key accounts, so our clients see Heckford as their Digital expert and partner.
  • Maintaining existing websites and systems
  • Building responsive HTML email campaigns
  • Mentoring more junior staff
  • Improving our technologies and processes, for a better end product and more efficient workflow


  • Strong passion for front-end development, keeping up to date on current trends and industry standards
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS 3, jQuery
  • Excellent code structuring skills
  • Functional knowledge of Sketch/Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Good portfolio of work
  • Strong knowledge of responsive web development practices
  • Strong knowledge in customising WordPress
